Bird Call

I love the blend of Bird Call – the ultra-sophisticated, soothing tones of one Chiara Angelicola mixed in with music that ebbs and flows on a whim that’s dripping with style. Even on a scene as complex and as talented as NYC, Bird Call finds a way to stand out above the crowd.

The Bonobos Life

Maybe it’s just me, but at 5’5, it’s hard to find a nice pair of pants. Seriously – They’re either too baggy or too tight. I’m not out of shape (I’m not posing for catalogs either), but still my body is just not made for the average pair of pants off the shelf. Case in point: last month when I was at a Nordstroms’ sale, I got a $75 pair of pants for under $25. Yes, that sounds great… that is, until I need to spend $30 to get them tailored the way I like. It’s maddening I tell you!

Monica Ott

Some Baltimore guys (such as myself), may hold something against Monica Ott. She left her hometown of Baltimore to pursue bigger and better things in the glitzy and glamorous town of New York City! However, it is there that she was able play her FIRST live NYC performance at CBGB’s… and it was New York where Monica became part of the prestigious NYC Songwriter’s Circle, going as far to beat out 1000’s of others to garner an honorable mention in last year’s songwriting contest.

Fires Of Rome

It’s been tough to fill in some of the blanks concerning the band, Fires of Rome. From what I’ve researched, heard and read about them, they don’t seem to fancy talking much about themselves. Nothing wrong with that… nothing wrong with that at all. They simply let their music, their talent speak for itself. And while I may not have a fun anecdote to share at the start of this intro about Fires of Rome… I can talk how they go about their craft.
